Test first, purchase with clarity

Refund Policy

PowerTrackpad provides permanent Basic use and a full 14-day Pro trial so you can test compatibility before purchasing. Purchases are normally final, while mandatory consumer rights and legitimate transaction problems remain protected.

Effective: 17 July 2026 Version: Pre-release 1.0 Product support: support@powertrackpad.com
Pre-release operator notice

PowerTrackpad is currently an independent software project operated from Malaysia and is not yet accepting payments. The supplier's registered legal name, business registration number, and business address will be added here before paid checkout opens. Paddle checkout and the formal refund channel are not active for PowerTrackpad yet.

1. Scope and policy summary

This policy applies to one-time PowerTrackpad Pro purchases completed through Paddle. Paddle is the authorized reseller and merchant of record, controls the buyer transaction, and processes formal refund requests under its Buyer Terms and Refund Policy. PowerTrackpad remains the software developer and licensor.

Normal rule

Purchases are non-refundable and non-exchangeable under normal circumstances.

Your protections

Mandatory consumer rights, qualifying defects, non-delivery, and transaction errors are not excluded.

Formal channel

Submit the request through Paddle Buyer Support. Product support remains available separately.

If this policy, Paddle's transaction terms, or applicable mandatory law provides different protection, the protection that cannot lawfully be reduced continues to apply.

2. Test before purchasing

PowerTrackpad Basic does not expire and provides every available gesture and action type with a limit of two simultaneously active rules. Each eligible Mac may also receive one 14-day Pro trial on a best-effort basis. The trial starts after the first successfully recognized gesture that matches an enabled, fully configured rule—not merely on installation or first launch.

Before purchasing, use Basic and the Trial to confirm:

  • gesture recognition works with your built-in trackpad;
  • your Apple silicon Mac and macOS version are suitable;
  • you are comfortable granting the required macOS Accessibility permission;
  • the actions and rules you intend to use behave as expected; and
  • the private-framework compatibility risk is acceptable to you.

The Trial is designed to provide the same functionality as Pro, including unlimited active rules, so you can make an informed purchase decision.

3. Exceptions and mandatory rights

The normal non-refund rule does not limit a refund, withdrawal, repair, replacement, price correction, or other remedy required by applicable law. Paddle may also approve a refund under its terms or discretion. Depending on the facts and governing law, an exception may include:

  • qualifying non-delivery or failure to provide the purchased entitlement;
  • a material defect or material difference from the product description;
  • a duplicate, incorrect, unauthorized, or fraudulent transaction;
  • a mandatory cooling-off or withdrawal right that still applies to the transaction;
  • a payment-scheme, fraud-prevention, or chargeback requirement; or
  • another remedy that Paddle or PowerTrackpad expressly agrees to provide.

Nothing on this page determines whether a particular statutory right applies to you. Paddle evaluates the buyer transaction, and your rights may vary by location and circumstances.

4. Compatibility and change-of-mind decisions

Under normal circumstances, a refund is not provided merely because you changed your mind, did not use Basic or the Trial, expected an undisclosed feature, selected the wrong action for a rule, or later decided the Software was not useful to you.

The initial commercial release is for Apple silicon Macs. The executable may run on macOS 13 or later, but only the macOS major version identified as tested for a particular release is officially supported. Older versions and newly released, not-yet-tested macOS versions are unsupported. PowerTrackpad also depends on Apple's undocumented private MultitouchSupport framework, which Apple may change or remove.

These disclosed circumstances are reasons to test before buying, but they do not eliminate a mandatory remedy for a defect, misdescription, non-delivery, or other right that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

5. How to request a refund

Submit a formal refund request through Paddle Buyer Support. Paddle can identify the transaction, determine the applicable buyer terms, approve or decline the request, and process an approved payment reversal.

You do not have to contact PowerTrackpad before using Paddle's formal channel. For a PowerTrackpad technical question, email support@powertrackpad.com. If you contact us about a refund, we will help you identify the Paddle route and may coordinate relevant product information rather than rejecting or silently closing your message.

Formal refund channel Open Paddle Buyer Support Have your Paddle transaction identifier or purchase email available.

6. Information that may be requested

For a product-related exception review, PowerTrackpad may request only the information reasonably relevant to the claim:

  • the Paddle transaction identifier or purchase email;
  • the reason for the request and a concise problem description; and
  • when technically relevant, the PowerTrackpad version, macOS version, and broad Mac model category.

Screenshots and diagnostics are optional and should be shared only through a deliberate choice. PowerTrackpad will not ask for your password, full payment-card details, private installation credential, shell-command contents, rule contents, file paths, or unrelated personal information. Paddle may separately request information under its own buyer-support and fraud-prevention procedures.

Troubleshooting or diagnostic evidence is not a prerequisite where applicable law already grants an unconditional or otherwise mandatory remedy.

7. Review and processing time

PowerTrackpad aims to provide a substantive answer or useful status update within five business days after receiving a refund-related product-support message. This is a service target, not a guaranteed contractual response time. Any shorter mandatory deadline under applicable law takes priority.

Paddle controls its own buyer-support review, approval, payment reversal, and banking timelines. PowerTrackpad cannot promise that Paddle or your payment provider will complete a refund within five business days. Paddle will provide the authoritative transaction outcome.

8. What happens after an approved refund

After PowerTrackpad receives and validates the relevant Paddle refund or payment-reversal event, the associated Pro entitlement is revoked. The Software returns safely to Basic:

  • saved rules and their configurations remain on the Mac;
  • the two-active-rule Basic limit applies;
  • no rule is automatically re-enabled; and
  • local files are not remotely deleted.

If more than two rules are active when Pro ends, the Software may deactivate all rules and ask you to choose which two to enable. A chargeback, reversed payment, or confirmed fraudulent transaction may have the same entitlement effect. Contact Paddle promptly about a transaction error rather than assuming that a bank dispute will preserve access.

9. Promotions, price changes, and billing errors

A later launch, seasonal, or other promotional price does not create a retrospective refund, credit, or partial-refund right for an earlier purchase. Each promotion applies only to qualifying purchases completed during its stated period or quantity limit.

This no-price-matching rule does not prevent correction of an actual duplicate or incorrect charge, a checkout error, or a mandatory consumer remedy. Report a billing problem through Paddle Buyer Support as soon as practical.

10. Changes, language, and contact

We may update this policy when the product, Paddle terms, refund process, or law changes. The effective date and version will be revised. A purchase remains subject to the applicable transaction terms and mandatory law; a later policy change will not silently remove an accrued mandatory right.

This pre-release policy is published only in English. Before paid checkout opens, PowerTrackpad will complete the legal review required to determine and satisfy any Bahasa Malaysia disclosure obligation.
