PowerTrackpad requires macOS 13 or newer. Release 0.9.10 was tested on macOS Tahoe 26.6.2; official support covers macOS Tahoe 26. Other versions may work; use Basic or the 14-day Pro trial to check your setup before purchasing.

Can I use a three-finger tap as middle click on a Mac?
Yes. PowerTrackpad can map a two-to-five-finger single, double, or triple tap to middle click. For example, a three-finger tap can open a browser link in a new tab without an external mouse.
Can a trackpad gesture tile a window left or right?
Yes on macOS 15 or newer. Assign a gesture to one of PowerTrackpad's window-tiling shortcut presets for left half, right half, quarters, fill, center, or return-to-previous-size behavior.
Does Basic expire?
No. Basic is permanently free and supports unlimited saved rules with up to two active at once.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is a one-time purchase with unlimited active rules and updates throughout the licensed major version.
Does Pro require an ongoing internet connection?
No. Internet is required only when you activate with a license key. A successful activation immediately creates permanent Pro access for that installation, which then works without recurring online license checks.
Can I test compatibility before buying?
Yes. Use Basic and the full 14-day Pro trial to test your gestures, actions, permissions, macOS version, and trackpad. Purchases are normally non-refundable except where required by law or otherwise handled by the merchant of record.
Why isn't PowerTrackpad in the Mac App Store?
PowerTrackpad is downloaded from this website because it uses an undocumented macOS framework to read the trackpad contact data these gestures need. Apple could change that framework in a future macOS release, so compatibility cannot be guaranteed indefinitely.
Does uninstalling remove my rules?
Removing only the app normally leaves your rules and activated Pro entitlement available for reinstall. Fully erasing PowerTrackpad's local data is a separate choice that can affect future activation. See the uninstall and data-removal guide.
Can shell-command rules run without warning?
No. Shell actions are advanced, execute with your user permissions through zsh, and require a deliberate warning acknowledgement during configuration.
